Four 4PB members in Court of Appeal case on the enforcement of foreign orders.

In the matter of E (Children) [2020] EWCA Civ 1030 the Court of Appeal considered the extent of the obligation upon the court in England and Wales to enforce a foreign order in relation to children and the underlying principles to be applied where the court is faced with an enforcement application alongside a welfare application.

Jacqueline Renton and Charlotte Baker (instructed by Freemans Solicitors) acted for the Appellant Father.

The Respondent Mother was unrepresented and did not attend

Mark Jarman and Lucy Logan Green (instructed by Cafcass Legal) acted for the Respondent Children by their Children’s Guardian.
