The court refused to discharge a disclosure order made against the Secretary of State for the Home Department in care proceedings. The proceedings would not have been brought had the Metropolitan Police not informed the local authority that the child’s father held an Islamist extremist mindset; the local authority and the court had a legitimate interest in the information that had led to that conclusion.
