Trial involving metaphyseal fractures and vitamin D deficiency in which the Court warned against ‘dogma’ surrounding the causation of metaphyseal fractures and reported on the joint experts’ view of bone fragility with Vitamin D deficiency but the absence of radiological evidence of rickets. Alison represented the mother and led the cross examination of the exper‎ts which resulted in the mother’s exoneration and the return of the child to the family.
