Trial involving metaphyseal fractures and vitamin D deficiency in which the Court warned against ‘dogma’ surrounding the causation of metaphyseal fractures and reported on the joint experts’ view of bone fragility with Vitamin D deficiency but the absence of radiological evidence of rickets. Alison represented the mother and led the cross examination of the experts which resulted in the mother’s exoneration and the return of the child to the family.
