Barbara Mills KC Wins Bar Champion of the Year at the Legal 500 UK ESG Awards 2026

1st May 2026
We are delighted to congratulate Barbara Mills KC, who last night was named Bar Champion of the Year at the Legal 500 UK ESG Awards 2026.
With the awards spotlighting individuals setting new standards of excellence and responsibility within the legal profession, Barbara’s recognition is so richly deserved for her work championing diversity and inclusion and supporting social mobility at the Bar.
During her time as Chair of the Bar of England and Wales in 2025, Barbara worked tirelessly to raise the profile of family law and to support the Government in its mission to halve violence against women and girls. She also made strides to ensure that wellbeing was recognised as a skill and a core part of effective practice management, while continuing to drive forward progress in equality, diversity and inclusion.
Now returned to her role as Joint Head of Chambers at 4PB, Barbara remains at the forefront of these issues, championing them through every platform available to her. Whether through enrolling 4PB as sponsors and mentors in the Lawyers Who Care initiative, or by lending her voice to these debates in publications or during speaking engagements, she continues to lead with purpose and impact.
Our 4PB family could not be prouder to see Barbara’s work acknowledged. Please join us in congratulating her, along with all of last night’s winners.
