4PB Press Announcement – Alex Verdan KC to join Stewarts as a Partner

Alex Verdan KC, former Head of Chambers at 4PB is to leave Chambers to become a Partner at Stewarts and Head of the Children Law team  from the 6 October 2025.   Alex, who is widely regarded as one of the best children law barristers of his generation, led 4PB for 10 years and helped steer the set to great success including the groundbreaking move in 2021 to its current home in St Paul’s.

“We are a family at 4PB, and so whilst the initial emotion for many was one of sadness that Alex was leaving, that was soon replaced by huge gratitude for what he has achieved with us and genuine happiness that he is moving to start a new chapter in his illustrious career.  We will miss him very much, but he won’t be too far away! 

Alex Verdan KC said, “My time at 4PB has been the happiest of my professional life but after 38 years at the Bar, another challenge awaits and I am delighted to be joining Stewarts to head up their specialist children’s team and where I will also continue to be an independent arbitrator.
