A mother would not be granted an order under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 1980 for the return of her two-year-old daughter to Canada. Although both parents and the daughter had lived in Canada for six months, the daughter had retained her established family links in England and remained habitually resident here.
