Frankie Shama (instructed by The International Family Law Group) appeared on behalf of the Second Respondent maternal aunt in a complex child abduction case involving a dispute in respect of the Applicant Father’s rights of custody and issues in respect of the settlement of the child under the 1980 Hague Convention. The court heard evidence as part of the proceedings from an expert in Zimbabwean law and the Cafcass Guardian for the child. The court rejected the Applicant Father’s application for the summary return of the child to Zimbabwe.
