Over the last few years a number of high quality practitioners (both silks and established juniors) have joined 4PB from other leading sets.
4PB is made up of exceptional practitioners many of whom have started in different chambers or had different careers before joining us, and many of whom are now in Silk. Whilst not actively recruiting, we always remain interested in approaches from exceptional, first class, experienced practitioners who share our core values and who want to advance their particular areas of practice at 4PB. We pride ourselves on a happy and supportive working environment, the very best practice managers and administration, and an ever foreword thinking approach to family law and family justice.
4PB combines the very best of modern and traditional aspects of life at the Bar. Our move to our new offices outside of Temple and the service that now allows us to provide clients is combined with a collegial atmosphere of equals.
Chambers aims to provide an environment in which candidates can build a practice to suit their interests and strengths while offering equal opportunities to all. Our practice policies are important to us. We promote parents in our number, actively, with a supportive parental leave package. Our Wellbeing policies have been a template for the Bar’s approach to wellbeing.
We want chambers to reflect our core values and encourage applications from applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds, people with disabilities and in protected categories, those from the LGBTQ+ community and diverse and under-represented backgrounds.
If you are an exceptional family barrister and interested in applying please read the Tenancy Information document to see what is required in support of your application and the fair recruitment process we will adopt in considering your application. Please send this along with an Equality and Diversity Monitoring Form.
There are two application windows within which you should seek to submit the tenancy information required to 4PB. They are as follows:
- 1st March to 15th April with a view to interviews taking place in May;
- 1st September to 15th October with a view to interviews taking place in November.
