We are also delighted to see 5 members of Chambers take to the stage over the weekend as guest speakers.
Anita Mehta will kick off the Resolution National Conference 2025 alongside co-host Simon Blain, hosting a special live recording of their award-winning podcast, Talking Family Law, for the Keynote Address. They will be joined by expert guests Professor Jane Monckton-Smith OBE and Ruth Dodsworth.
Professor Jo Delahunty KC will be joined by Ian McArdle (Atlantic Chambers) for their workshop “Domestic abuse, coercive controlling behaviour and alienation: a masterclass.
Building on the legal framework governing allegations of Domestic Abuse, this will be a ‘trap and tips’ masterclass of benefit to those working with both victims and perpetrators of abuse, and those who represent the children impacted by adult behaviours. Topics include:
- Legal frameworks for DA cases
- How to avoid tactical mistakes
- Strengthening your case with evidence
On day two, Piers Pressdee KC, Catherine Wood KC, and Andrew Powell deliver their workshop “Forewarned is Forearmed – What the Next 12 Months Hold for Private Children Lawyers.”
The trio provide an interactive analysis and discussion of the latest and upcoming developments in the private children law field, focusing on Pathfinder Courts, NCDR, Domestic Abuse, relocation cases, and Modern Families.
