| 06/12/11 | Court of Appeal Judgement in Re J On 2nd December 2011 the Court of Appeal gave judgment in Re J. The Court of Appeal considered the circumstances in which children should be seen by judges and emphasised the relevance of the Presidents Practice Notes of April 2010 in respect of seeing children. All counsel in the appeal were from 4 Paper Buildings. David Williams represented the children, Mark Jarman the father and Michael Gration the mother.

We are very grateful to Lord Justice Thorpe who made a guest apperance and addressed the delegates. Baroness Scotland QC chaired the event and presentations were given by Alex Verdan QC, Catherine Wood QC and Joy Brereton.
