Court of Appeal case on relevant principles on consent in Hague Convention cases.

Christopher Hames QC and Alistair Perkins appeared in the important Court of Appeal case of Re G[2021] EWCA Civ 139, 9 February 2021 where Lord Justice Peter Jackson re-stated the relevant applicable principles on consent in Hague Convention cases and has provided authoritative guidance on the exercise of discretion arising after a finding of consent.

Nicola Wallace selected to Judge at the ICC Mediation Competition.

Nicola Wallace has again been invited as a Judge at the 16th ICC Mediation competition International Chamber of Commerce.  This competition, usually in Paris, has been moved online this year.  48 teams from a total of 39 countries. Over 100 professionals and over 250 students and coaches. Today she is delighted to have been selected as a semi-final Judge.

Four Members in the Court of Appeal.

Four members of 4PB are in the Court of Appeal today on an appeal concerning a set aside application made within Hague Convention 1980 proceedings – Chris Hames QC and Indu Kumar for the appellant father, Teertha Gupta QC for the respondent mother and Jacqueline Renton for the child.
