James Nottage awarded a Gray’s Inn Ann Goddard Scholarship

We are delighted to announce that one of our pupils, James Nottage, was awarded a scholarship from Gray’s Inn last week. James received an Ann Goddard Scholarship, meant to support pupils intending to build a practice at the publicly-funded Bar.

Frankie Shama successfully represents a mother in two applications.

Frankie Shama, instructed by Dawson Cornwell, successfully represented the mother in her application to relocate to Germany in D v T [2023] EWFC 285, and thereafter in resisting an application for permission to appeal the decision in D v T [2023] EWFC 286.

Piers Pressdee KC, leading Mani Singh Basi are successful in the High Court acting pro-bono for the appellants.

Piers Pressdee KC, leading Mani Singh Basi acted for the successful appellants in GM & Anor v EB & Anor (Rules of Evidence). They both acted pro bono, instructed by Creightons solicitors. The case deals with important principles relating to rules of evidence in private law children disputes, and the judgment comments on the difficulties for the courts in dealing with challenging circumstances as a consequence of LASPO.
