A mini pupillage at 4 Paper Buildings is an opportunity for those interested in a career at the Bar and particularly in Family Law to gain experience at this specialist set.
Candidates must be 18 years of age. Given the demand for such experience, previously successful candidates will not be offered further mini pupillages
While we hope that able candidates will go on to consider a career at the Bar it is not a prior requirement for pupillage that a mini pupillage has been undertaken with us.
Given the sensitive nature of the work, Mini Pupils must sign a confidentiality agreement prior to the commencement of their pupillage. Mini Pupils are expected to dress in appropriate dark clothes. A contribution of £10 per day is paid towards a mini pupil’s expenses.
Mini pupillages usually last for a week but with prior agreement can be arranged for a shorter period of time of 3 days.
Mini Pupillages are available throughout the year but are limited to 30 places. As there is very high demand for places during the Summer vacation, candidates are encouraged to apply for mini pupillages at other times.
Applications should be made by email to Cleo Perry at cpp@4pb.com with a covering letter setting out your reasons for applying to 4 Paper Buildings. Candidates should supply an email address with their application.
